THE PRESENCE CHAMBER

Meeting Information:

Please email us if you live in Northern Idaho (Sandpoint, Ponderay, Sagle, Bonners Ferry, Priest River) and desire to gather.

The following is our vision for a gathering:

“The Presence Chamber” is the name of our gathering. The Presence Chamber is defined as: “a special room in which a great personage such as a sovereign, king, or monarch, receives guests or holds audiences that are entitled to come into his presence.”

The Presence Chamber has one purpose: to be with the Great King. The Chamber is a place in the Spirit where disciples of Jesus Christ can gather and be in the presence of the Lord. This is a gathering place for those believers who are desiring to become the royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), and who are making themselves ready as the Lord’s bride (Revelation 19:7).

The focus of The Presence Chamber is to allow the Lord to build His followers (individual living stones) into a temple and dwelling place in the Spirit (1 Peter 2:5, Ephesians 2:20-22). Our foremost priority is to give the Lord what He wants: a temple that He can inhabitant and fill with His glory. A people in which His desire is fulfilled by entering into His eternal rest (Psalm 132:8; 13-14).

The Presence Chamber is focused on the Lord, instead of ourselves. We believe that if we seek first the King and His Kingdom, everything else we need will be given to us by the King (Matthew 6:33). To have intimacy with the Lord and to know Him inwardly is the purpose of this life. In the fulfilling of that purpose, Jesus’ life and grace is released in us and through us. We are choosing to come before the King in His presence chamber simply for who He is. Our desire is to abide in Him.

“Draw me after thee, we will run. The king has brought me into his chambers; we will be glad and rejoice in thee; we will remember thy love more than the wine; the upright love thee.” (Song of Solomon 1:4 JUB)

Regional Church Gathering

The Presence Chamber is a place where disciples of Jesus can gather who are desiring to journey with the Lord, and progress in their friendship with Him and each other. These are designed to be regional meetings for the church throughout Northern Idaho. Followers of Jesus from all ministries, congregations, or denominations are welcome. We believe the Lord desires to tear down man-made religious barriers and connect His entire church in the region. Believers have the freedom to come to the meetings, and also to continue attending their current congregations.

The Holy Spirit has made it clear that He desires to equip believers and impart the fire of God through these meetings. He will send believers into their God-assigned ministries and commissionings as He chooses (Acts 13:1-4). We also support and encourage home church meetings of believers in the region. Scripture shows us that the early church met often in homes, and the leadership ministered from house to house (Acts 20:20). The Lord is restoring this organic and simple Gospel which gives freedom to His church.

What a Meeting Would Look Like

The Presence Chamber is dedicated to following the Lord. Our longing is to be in the Presence of the Father, and to see Christ inwardly. We allow the Holy Spirit to direct us. We may worship the entire meeting, or sometimes we may pray. Other times we may wait on the Lord in silence for extended periods of time. We preach Jesus, the crucified life that Jesus lived, and His return. We cling to the scriptures in their entitreity. Our meetings are directed at pleasing the Lord and accomplishing His eternal will.

Ministry to the body of Christ is conducted at the direction and leadership of the Holy Spirit. We can do nothing unless Jesus Himself is doing it. Only Jesus can build His church according to His definition of success. Believers being transformed into the image of Christ is the Lord’s standard of success (Romans 8:29, 2 Corinthians 3:18).

We consider the Gospel as defined by the scriptures: “For our [preaching of the] glad tidings (the Gospel) came to you not only in word, but also in [its own inherent] power and in the Holy Spirit and with great conviction and absolute certainty [on our part].” (1 Thessalonians 1:5 AMPC)

The Gospel is a person, Jesus. The presentation of Christ must come in word, power, the Holy Spirit, and conviction. This is our goal, and something we can work toward together as family.

Even though we may meet in a physical place, the Presence Chamber is a spiritual place before the face of the Lord.

Worship and Purpose

One of our top priorities is to create an atmosphere that is welcoming to the Holy Spirit. He feels welcome where Jesus is the focal point, and where He is permitted to move among His people. The goal is to worship Jesus for who He is, and not let worship simply become a thing we do. It should be an extension of our relationship with Him, and a way to become closer to Him. We need the Holy Spirit to lead worship, and move upon His people to impart a focus, hunger, and passion to worship the Lamb.

The Lord is after a church that have hearts after Him. People who truly desire the Lord draw His attention. When enough living stones gather to pursue the Lord in a genuine lifestyle of worship, the Lord responds by dwelling among His people. There is nothing greater than the Lord abiding with His people.

The following scripture paints the picture that The Presence Chamber desires to achieve:

Six days before the Passover, Jesus went to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom He had raised from the dead. So they gave a supper for Him there. Martha was serving, and Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him. Then Mary took a pound of very expensive perfume of pure nard, and she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.” (John 12:1-3 AMP)

Jesus is resting with his friends, reclining at a table, in a place where He is made to feel at home. A true follower is pouring out costly worship upon Him. Being in the presence of Jesus is enough for Mary. Resting at the table with his Friend is sufficient for Lazarus. Jesus is at ease among His friends, followers, and worshipers. We desire to make Jesus comfortable and provide a place of rest for Him.

Key Pillars for The Presence Chamber

1. To be a people where the Lord is comfortable being around, and because of this friendship; He chooses to enter into His rest among us.

“Arise, O Lord, to Your resting place, You and the ark [the symbol] of Your strength. For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place: “This is My resting place forever” [says the Lord]; “Here will I dwell, for I have desired it.” (Psalms 132:8, 13-14 AMP)

“Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest?” (Isaiah 66:1 NKJV)

2. To be built together as living stones with other disciples of Jesus, and become a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit.

“You [believers], like living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house for a holy and dedicated priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:5 AMP)

“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:19-22 NKJV)

3. To be transfigured and transformed into the image of Christ.

“And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18 AMP)

“For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.” (Romans 8:29 NKJV)

“till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;” (Ephesians 4:13 NKJV)

4. To be a people of the secret place, and to be making ourselves ready as the Lord’s bride. Developing intimacy with the Lord by waiting upon Him and acquiring precious spiritual oil so that we keep our lamps burning. This involves becoming a people of rest or resting in the Lord.

““Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.” (Matthew 25:1, 3-4 NKJV)

“But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray [in seclusion]. (Luke 5:16 AMP)

“She had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was continually listening to His teaching.” (Luke 10:39 AMP)

“There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.” (Hebrews 4:9-10 NKJV)

5. To carry our crosses and follow after Jesus, allowing the cross way-of-life to put our wants, will, desires, and plans to death; so that Jesus can live through us and carry out His plans and purpose. The cross is a choice we make to allow the sufferings of Christ to work in us, thus stripping away our old nature.

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20 NKJV)

““If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.” (Luke 14:26-27 NKJV)

6. Abide in the presence or the Lord, and desire to have the Lord’s thick glory abide in us and upon us as His temple.

“And the glory and brilliance of the Lord entered the temple by way of the gate facing toward the east. Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner courtyard; and behold, the glory and brilliance of the Lord filled the temple.” (Ezekiel 43:4-5 AMP)

“then the Lord will create over the entire site of Mount Zion and over her assemblies, a cloud by day, smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory and brilliance will be a canopy [a defense, a covering of His divine love and protection].” (Isaiah 4:5 AMP)

7. Allow the Lord to minister through us to perform His works and bring His Kingdom (in His proper time when He chooses to send His disciples into His harvest).

“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you I do not say on My own initiative or authority, but the Father, abiding continually in Me, does His works [His attesting miracles and acts of power]. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe [Me] because of the [very] works themselves [which you have witnessed]. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:10-12 AMP)

“Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” (Luke 10:2 NKJV)

“He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” (Luke 9:2 NKJV)

“And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord was working with them and confirming the word by the signs that followed.]” (Mark 16:20 AMP)

If you desire to go deep into the Lord, and burn in His holy fire; maybe the Holy Spirit is drawing you to His Presence Chamber
